"A time to say goodbye"

Good morning everyone, As many of you may know Civile's has been closed due to damages caused by hurricane sandy. I have had some time to contemplate the future and weigh out my choices and I have decided not to re-open. This was not an easy decision for me, but one that made the most sense considering the variables involved. I have many fond memories throughout the fifteen years that Civile's has been open, many with some of the great people that I met along the way. It saddens me to have to say goodbye. I am very grateful to have known you and for your loyalty as a customer and for the many friendships that were formed. I will miss you. The plans for the future are not yet known. I will be leaving the county and if I may I will contact you, if another Civile's is established. I hope that some of you also have fond memories of coming down to the river. Those of you who got to know me over the years, knew that my greatest desire was to see people happy through my efforts. I pray that God will keep you and your families in His loving care and that all the wholesome desires of your hearts be blessed and fulfilled. Holiday Greeting

Hello everyone, It is that time of year again, I know for me time is just flying by. I have decided or I should say it has been decided for me to re-open in the Spring. I wanted to thank everyone for their kind words, willingness to lend a hand and overall goodness that was expressed after hurricane Sandy hit Civile's. If anyone has suffered a loss and needs a helping hand, I have time and would be more then happy to help. I wish everyone a very happy, healthy and prosperous holiday season and year ahead. I pray God grants you all the wholesome desires of your hearts and keeps your families in His loving care. God willing I will see you in the Spring. A Holiday Greeting

Hello everyone, It is that time of year again, I know for me time is just flying by. I know now that it is so true, "the older we get the faster time seems to go by". I have decided or I should say it has decided for me that I will wait till the Spring to re-open. I wanted to thank everyone for their kind words, willingness to offer a helping hand and for being so supportive after the hurricane hit Civile's. I have been truly humbled throughout by people's goodness. If you have suffered any loss, please do not hesitate to call on me, I have time and if you need a helping hand, I would be more then happy to assist. As this great holiday season draws near I reflect on all the situations and people that have been dear to me throughout the year and I thank God for these many blessings. I wish everyone a happy healthy and prosperous year ahead. May all the wholesome desires of your heart be fulfilled and may the good Lord watch over you and your families and bring you much joy. Hurricane Sandy

Hello and Good morning, If you have not heard Civile's is temporarily closed due to the damages caused by hurricane Sandy. Regretfully all events are postponed and a re-opening date is not certain at this time. I am grateful that my wife and I are safe and scrappy our dog. I pray that no one suffered any loss and you are all safe. We are living in difficult times and for those who have no faith these times can be hopeless. I tell you this because I know God has a plan and He will keep us safe even in the worst of times. I hope this does not offend anyone but at the price of not being politically correct I feel the need to share with you the peace God can give us even in the most difficult trials of our lives. I will keep everyone posted on our future plans and I am grateful for your constant support throughout the years and especially for those who have been more then kind during this past week, for this I am overwhelmed with gratitude, thank you. Thursday November 15th Wine dinner

We are calling it 'A European Fall Feast". Five courses paired with European wines from the Frederick Wildman portfolio. The time is 6:30 in the evening and the cost is Eighty five Dollars per person, all inclusive. Wines will be available to order at a special discount after the event. What's new and exciting

Just wanted to let everyone know that our Sunday brunch is doing well and getting rave reviews. The price is $19.95 per person which includes bloody mary's champagne and mimosa's. The buffet leans more towards lunch items with a few breakfast items such as smoked fish and bagels and the menu changes every week. We are starting our holiday promotion early this year which is when you purchase $500 worth of gift certificates you pay only $300. The gift certificates are valid as of 1/1/13 and can only be purchased with cash. This offer will expire 12/31/12. We will be doing a wine dinner 11/15, this will be a five course meal with wine and the cost is $85 per person. New years eve we will be using our regular menu the entire evening with two seatings. the later seating will feature live music and dancing and there will be a $50 surcharge per couple, covering entertainment party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Going backwards we will be open on Thanksgiving Day serving a buffet dinner at $35.00 per person. I forgot to mention live music is also part of our Sunday brunch. Brunch

Just a short note we will be starting brunch on th 16th of this month. It will be a buffet geared more towards lunch then breakfast, including champagne and bloody marys. The price will be $19.95 per person, child or adult, tax & a 20% gratuity will be added on. The start time will be 1pm and reservations would be appreciated. Summer greeting and what is to come

Hello to all our friends and subcribers, It is hard to believe summer is already half over, but thanks to some good weather and great people like yourselves it has been a good summer. I have taken over as head chef and have been in the kitchen, so if you have been in, I am sorry I did not get the chance to say hello. Mona has been doing a good job managing the front of the house and hopefully you got a chance to get acquainted. We are looking forward to the Fall months and after Labor day we will start doing a Sunday brunch. It will be buffet style with lots to choose from with endless Champagne and Bloodymary's. There will probably be two seatings at eleven and one. The price will be $19.95 and perhaps will include live music. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and our byow nights are Wednesdays and Thursdays. We will be open right through to the holidays and after January be open at least on the weekends as the response to last year was very positive. Mother's Day and More

Hello everyone, we are accepting reservations for Mother's Day. We will feature our regular menu with some great specials. With the weather warming up the outdoor terraces will be in use and we are looking forward to a great year. I am very grateful for the support we received this Winter, as we opened on the weekends, thanks to all who came out. Our byow policy worked well. We will continue to allow folks to bring in there own wine with no corkage fee through the summer. The days that we will allow this are Tuesdays through Thursdays, but not on weekends. We have kept our prices very affordable without an increase and maintained the quality. Mona, who I mentioned in my last message has been doing an outstanding job managing and improving on all of our services. As we enter our 14th year in business I look back and I am grateful for the many people I have met and for the many who have become friends. In all honesty it is alway those familar faces that keep me going and to you I am forever g rateful. Have a great summer everyone and to all the Mom's thank you and Happy Mother's Day. Spring the season of new beginnings

Hello everyone, It is that wonderful time of the year again, everything being born again,the flowers, warm weather and of course al fresco dining at Civile's. It is an exciting time here at Civile's as we enter our 14th year in business, thanks to your constant and appreciated support. We vow to make your dining experience at Civile's better then ever. We have a new managing staff member to help me better serve your needs. Mona, who actually helped open Civile's in 1998, brings years of service exprience in the industry, will help insure that your dining experience at Civile's is a memorable one. Her presence will also allow me to better over see the service end of our restaurant, so that all your needs are met. I am in the process of booking entertainment for Sundays in the upcoming season. I have also created a lighter menu option for lunches, featuing gourmet sandwiches and salads. This menu will go into effect in April. Easter Sunday, April 8th we will be using our regular menu with feat ured specials. As of April 1st our bring your own wine policy will shift to weekdays only, no longer on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. Our docks should be in by April 15th, but please call to confirm this. Here at Civile's we know that we are living in difficult financial times so we have not raised our prices in a few years and we will continue to offer quality at affordable prices in a setting second to none.
